Response to Paul's INDIGNATION

Man do you have some nerve! You actually appear to be angry at me for sharing the fact that I (as well as others ) are being victimized by you and your company. You have my money in your pocket, and you have not shipped the products that I paid for. And you are angry that I would talk about this on the forum. Communicating with you has produced no results, I think everyone on this forum can survive one members' justified rant. I would like to address your remarks one at a time... a) complaining to the MOTM list about your specific delivery issues with me is *NOT* helping you, or me, or my company. I am in a position of nothing to lose. You have my money. You have the kits I paid for. I am not trying to motivate you by complaining, and I could care less if it is damaging to MOTM/Synthtech or to Paul Schrieber, by discussing how I'm being screwed by your company. I am seeking the thoughts of others on this list regarding who else is getting screwed, how badly, and what they feel is the appropriate way to deal with it. b) This year alone, I have shipped 577 orders, which included 189 full kits/assembled modules. One can quickly figure out most of these were CEM ICs and/or 'MOTM 2.0' orders. But right now, these are the orders that are funding the company until I can start shipping the new stuff. How is this relevant? You mean the money I paid for kits and parts isn't enough to pay for those kits and parts? You listed the kits and parts as stock on hand, was that not true? First you have to sell some stuff to some other people so we can fund your company, and then maybe later on you'll ship? Or are you just saying look at all the work I've accomplished, just because you didn't get what you paid for doesn't mean I don't work hard. I don't get it apparently. c) So, it's not like nothing is going on here. Did I mention I've also designed 2 more new modules and have 1 on a pc board prototype? I have got all of the MOTM-730 stuff ready to go (at a cost of over $4800 to me, with 1 shipped and not even paid for yet). Here's where it sounds to me like you're off the deep end. If someone pays you for a product that you have sold them, then it is your responsibility to deliver that product. Try to imagine from the perspective of a customer who has paid for a synth kit and already waited a couple of years for it, how would you feel everytime you hear the enthusiastic news of how Paul is working on something OTHER than delivering the kit you paid for? And now you are relating to me how you have spent all this time designing new modules, when you could be putting the parts for a kit into a package and mailing it to the person who paid you for it two years ago. I'm sure designing new modules is more fun than packing a kit. But if you want to be in the business of selling your products, then that includes more than just accepting payment from people, you're actually responsible for delivering the product as well. d) In terms of kitting, I am kitting in *order* from most requested to least requested. Guess what the least requested kit is? MOTM-101. Well Paul, perhaps the MOTM-101 kit will always be the least requested kit. Does that mean I will never get it? Does that mean I deserve to wait longer than someone who pays you two months ago for one of the "popular" kits? I can't teach you ethics, that was your parent's job. I think it is common sense that those orders that were placed first should get filled first, and in the interest of being fair- I would invite anyone who feels differently to share their opinion now. e) Am I behind in kitting/shipping? Yes, as always. Is this *why* I am getting rid of the kits, and moving to all SMT production? Why, yes again. I am TIRED of kitting just as much as you are TIRED of waiting. I understand you are tired of kitting. f) Please do no assume that paying me is some sort of acceleration to shipping. It is not. If you don't want to pay me, then don't order by PayPal. If you want a refund, *just ask for it*. If you want really fast shipping, call Shawn at AH and order MOTM Frac :) This is a very convenient argument to present now, I would suggest that you display "please do not assume that paying me is some sort of acceleration to shipping. It is not." at the check-out for the Synthtech shopping cart. This problem would have been avoided before it began. The shopping cart instead offers the suggestion that items will be shipped by Priority Mail delivered in two to three days. Of course I knew that was crap as well, which is why i asked you (before my last order) specifically how long I would have to wait if i ordered a couple of MOTM300 front panels and a couple of MOTM300 pcbs. Your reply was that those ship every 10 days. That was a month ago. I was looking for an honest answer to base my decision on whether to buy from you again, since i knew it was risky. I suppose I should have known better. In my last email, I said I would like the items I have paid for, and waited far too long for, and if they can be delivered in two weeks fine, otherwise I would like my money back. I got a terse reply of "I'll look into it". That does not cut it with me. Yes I want my money back. That's $209 for the MOTM101 and $170.75 for the two MOTM300 panels and two MOTM300 pcbs, order #1109. Kevin Morde
