How sad this is.
The man who demonstrated that a Farfisa in the right hands can sound better
than all the synthesizers in the world, is not among us any more.
How can we hear these news and not think about his masterpiece, the great
gig in the sky!
May God give his soul peace - "I'm not frightened of dying!" - and welcome
him in his eternal orchestra.

I agree JH. I always felt he was underrated. For those that don't have
"Making of Dark Side of the Moon" DVD, purchase it, worth ever penny.
For those that do have it, watch the section where he talks about
chord selection for "Gig."

One can argue about who was the most influential in Floyd, whether it
was the tightrope between genius and insanity of Barrett, the lyrics
and concepts of Waters, the always tasteful guitar lines of Gilmour,
or whatever. But I don't think Floyd would have been Floyd without
Richard Wright.

He touched my soul, and that is the best complement I can give.
Godspeed Rick, missed but never forgotten.
