Now I know where my end-of-October toilet paper and eggs are going to wind
up. Thanks Kenneth! ;-)

Give the man a little privacy... Can't you see he's busy kitting up my orders? (Left window, behind the kitchen table.) Ben

Kenneth - Ben - All - Jeeze - Don't you think this flirts with a violation of privacy? I do. Granted, anybody that's ordered modules from Paul (and therefore has a return address) could look up Paul's local. Still somehow - woah, man! This is kinda crosses the line for me. Kenneth - I've always respected your postings / comments. But I think you go over some kinda line here. And yeah - nice house, Paul. And it's all cool that we can see this stuff on Google... but - - - As someone who has lived in the public eye, I'm accustomed to concealing my identity and location to protect myself from crazies. Yeah - it sucks - but that's the way it is. I know that Paul - like anybody in business - deals with the public every day. And most of the public is great, but some of the "public" are jerks. And for the jerks... making it particularly easy to see where Paul does business (and that happens to be where he lives - like most of us - that's where our synth things exists...) Well - it seems a little insensitive, man. Frankly, I'm shocked and appalled. Kenneth, maybe you meant no harm - maybe you were just being enthusiastic. Still - for me - this is over the edge, man. --- In motm@yahoogroups.com, Ben Stuyts <ben@...> wrote: > > > On 5 Jul 2008, at 06:33, Kenneth Elhardt wrote: > > > Paul S. writes: > >>> I think I live East of these houses.<< > > > > Found it. While I agree, Paul should still close that bathrobe ;) http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&item=190234565569 On 7/5/08, Ben Stuyts put forth:

I kind of agree, but would like to note that Paul's address is freely available on the synthtech web page, visible to anyone, and has been for years. And his phone number has been freely available - personally I don't know how he deals with that, but I guess he does. And our addresses are all available to him. Relatedly, I checked recently, and my home address is also available on the web, and you can find my house also using google maps streetview, although you won't see much. I think my point is, if you're going to lead any kind of online life, you've got to be careful to be polite enough to not awake the interests of any wack jobs that are out there. I strongly doubt that Paul's little side business is going to arouse the interest of any weirdos. And Kenneth's just posting information that's freely available to anyone who'd be interested is seeing it anyway. --- In motm@yahoogroups.com, "wjhall11" <wjhall@...> wrote: > > Kenneth - Ben - All - > > Jeeze - Don't you think this flirts with a violation of privacy? Oh please! Kenneth didn't do anything that a stalker couldn't do for himself -- walk down Quail Ridge Drive and look for the house number. Or that anybody on the planet couldn't do for himself -- take the same walk virtually in a browser. Posting the resulting photo has no effect whatsoever on the chances of somebody harrassing Paul. I'm a serious civil liberties defender myself, but no one has ever had any "privacy" rights concerning what is in plain view from a public street. skw

OK everyone. Let's drop this. Paul S. lives in a van, down by the river
