Strange 650 glitch

For the life of me I can't figure out whats going on here. Channels 1&2 seem to work fine no matter what. The wierd stuff is between 3&4. They both work fine on any midi channel...as long as they are both set to the same channel. If 3 is on a different channel than 4 it only produces about 2 octaves untill the pitch hangs and won't go any higher and 4 acts the same way. All of the VG's are in solo monophonic mode. Both Arppegiators are Off. The firmware is 1.3 I believe. Any ideas on what the deal is? Thanks, Tim
