The heat sink compound required for the 420 filter kit, does it matter
if that's silicon or non-silicon?

Also, are there any other kits that require it? If not, then I might

I use the silicone based kind you can get a Radio Shack for quite a bit less than any of those prices. I don't think it matters if it's silicone or not. And yes, there are lots of other kits that use it - any of the vco's, the 440 and 480, and probably a few others. One tiny tube will probably last you a lifetime, though - a dab'll do ya!

a) either one will work fine
b) all kits that use a TEMPCO resistor need some.
