MOTM

Hi all,

I got my '650 couple of weeks ago, and I'm very impressed.
To make it better blend in though, I want to replace the washers with the MOTM standard
item. I remember a post from Paul saying that a certain type of washer is now available at
Mouser's. Will that one do the trick? Not sure if they'll fit those black jacks.

Can't remember the number, but I remember the article too. I've had the 650 now for about a
year, and it's been great!!

Sadly, they *will not* fit. This jack (used *only* on the MOTM-650) needs that
slightly
larger washer.

For all new modules, the jack I will be using is a Neutrik/Rean NYS234-3. This
is what is used
by other MOTM-compatible vendors.

I still have 100s of the MOTM-650/MOTM-910 jacks, no need to worry.

Paul mentioned that Mouser now offers separately the washer like those
on the Switchcraft 112A standard MOTM jack. This is Mouser part
#502-S10221. These washers are 3/8-inch Inner Diameter, which is too
small for the MOTM-650 jacks.

Perhaps you remember the discussion about the jacks for the MOTM-730 VC
Pulse Divider. That module will use a different type of PC-mounted jack
than the MOTM-650. The washers will be more consistent in appearance
(if not identical) with the 112A washer.

A number of people, including me, would like to replace their MOTM-650
washers with smaller Outer Diameter ones. But no one knows where to get
such washers.
