Robert Rich video clip on tour

Re: Robert Rich video clip on tour

Boy, every time I see a Robert Rich concert video it makes me want to
see him live! Surely he'll be in the L.A. area eventually. Heck,
I'll roadie for him just to see his stage setup. I'm good at picking
things up and putting them down!

I caught his gig at Analogue Haven last year, it was a really cool show. The PVC flutes, which I wasn't excited about, were actually really fin. He runs those and the pedal steel through a pile of effects pedals.

I took photos at his concert in CO a year ago; they're here:

http://studionebula.com/blog/v/RobertRichLive/

Some of them are blurry because the lighting was quite low and I didn't want
to be obnoxious and use a flash.

If I remember correctly, his live rig is basically:

MOTM Modular (with two Encore frequency shifters and at least one UEG)

Wavestation

Ensoniq ASR (I think-some Ensoniq synth)

DX7II of some variety

Steel guitar which he plays in a variety of ways, including bowing it with a
metal rod and leaving an E-bow sitting on it

Two Apple laptops, one really old running MIDI sequences in Opcode Vision
and one fairly new running Ableton Live

A number of PVC flutes of his own construction, in different keys for
different songs since he doesn't use E12T

Line 6 delay pedal, Pod, and some other delay/FX pedals

Some basic outboard stuff I don't remember clearly

I'm not sure what the object below the modular is; I think it's a little
keyboard of some sort. He uses small headphones for monitoring.
