Shopping cart SSL issue on FireFox/Safari

Shopping cart SSL issue on FireFox/Safari

2007-05-27 by Paul Schreiber

Currently getting this resolved (Mozilla-based browsers will issue a SSL
certificate error. IE is fine).

a) the site *is secure* and WORKING
b) I hate computers
c) My ISP has to load in an "intermediate chained SSL certificate" that links
the GoDaddy/Starfield SSL cert back to another Mozilla-approved cert
d) I hate computers
e) I you ever wonder "why does it take so long to ship my order" here is another
2 hours down the drain (along with the 14hrs yesterday to reinstall the cart)

Safari on the Mac currently also issues the error.

It seems that it lacks some CA issuer certificates. Just go there:

http://certificates.godaddy.com/repository

and install the missing certificates.

Then all should be fine.

*I* can't install them, my ISP has to load them into the correct Apache
directories (I don't have 'shell access').

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
