Screws and washer

I don't care about the paint either. Black is black from far enough away. I have multiple color Shaeffer, Stooge, Blacet, and even a foam-core panel along with a variety of tic marks and panel nomenclature. If you have enough modules, it always looks good :) I did, however, get tired of scratching the screw holes. No matter how much I think I am done, I get a new module and move everything around. I finally bought 300 of the black plastic washers, Mouser 561-D832B. They were $0.06 in small quantities but drop in hundreds to $0.023 each. I'm using Stooge flat rails and the extra thickness of the washer requires longer than a 0.25" screw. I went ahead and bought 1000 of the 5/16" black screws from Aaron's General Store, part number 1001SN1296. They're just the next size up from the screws that Larry Hendry distributed with the flat rails. They just barely detent into the wood behind the rails. I like them. They look nice and no more scratched panels. Dave
