US Postal system overloaded

US Postal system overloaded

1999-12-15 by Paul Schreiber

After a near perfect record, the US/global postal system has lost *THREE*
packages in the
last 4 DAYS, costing me over $1000.

Therefore, I an sending ALL PENDING ORDERS over $250 FED-EX 2nd day and will
charge
shipping accordingly (about $26-40 US, $110 global).

Sorry, but I if you do not wish this, then I will delay shipment until Jan
5th. Please email
if you want this.

Have you shipped my latest order yet?

If not, FED-EX is fine. I paid $18 in shipping, how much extra would I owe
ya?

Sorry to hear of your post office trouble. They are generally so reliable.
When you ship Priority as you do, you can get delivery confirmation for
only 35 cents. Delivery confirmation, coupled with reasonable insurance, I
would think the POST OFFICE would be responsible for what they lost.

Fed-Ex will NOT work for me. No one is home and the alternate address is a
P.O. box. So, please hold onto my pending MOTM-300 VCO and misc order
until such time that you plan to return to using the Post Office of another
carrier. Fed-Ex simply leaves me a message that I can pick up my package
at their office (35 miles away) during their working hours (impossible).

Thanks,
Larry Hendry

It will go out Friday (will you be at work Tuesday?)

Another $6 will cover it.

Damn, I sent private mail to the list too. Sorry about that. Realized it,
just as I hit the Send button.

US Postal system overloaded

1999-12-16 by Paul & Alleyne

hello,
imagine the extreme torture suffered by someone who knows where his #320 is
(Coventry), knows how long it's been there (since last Monday) and can't
shout at any of Her Majestie's Posties as all the lines are engaged, AND i
(er sorry) he keeps getting juicy emails with patch tips for the #320...
ARRGHHHH!!!!

anyway, if anyone else in the UK has something 'lost in transit', try the
following numbers (all permanently engaged)
parcelforce - 0800 224466
royal mail customer service - 0345 740740
parcelforce international - 0113 231 4433 (if you get this far, they'll ask
you to send a fax with all the shipping details)

good luck
cheers
bah humbug
