MOTM 2.0 RC1 versus MOTM 2.0 (golden)
2007-01-30 by Paul Schreiber
Originally I had planned a massive website/business revision for Feb. 1st. But, as it turns out, I had an opportunity to change 'real jobs' in late/Dec early Jan. I had to make several interview trips, quit old job, etc. Also, the amount of 'leftover' stuff from Indiana was just overwhelming :( So, I will have a 2-stage roll out. On Feb. 1st, there will be added to the cart: a) blank pc boards, including the return of the MOTM-000 breadboard! b) front panels c) mounting brackets d) specific sets for *some* modules of hard-to-get parts e) some "bags of parts" not for any specific module, but like "A bag of MOTM hardware" or "A bag of MOTM Spectrol pots" or "Some MOTM coax wire". Remember the *WHOLE IDEA* is to *REDUCE MY WORKLOAD* so I can actually *SHIP SOMETHING*. So, please do not ask for some 'special deal' or set of parts. I will just hit the delete button. It is what it is, OK? If you are 1 knob short, buy another bag :) Shipment of these DIY parts will start on Feb. 15th. I am training for new job a lot until that point. I will also have CEM ICs in there, what I have left. These are *rapidly running out*. As far as the lofty MOTM 2.0 site goes, it will be May or June. There is still LOTS TO SHIP AND DO. I don't want to start a big push before the 'old push' is incomplete. One last thing: this new FAE job requires a lot of on-site work where I *will not* have email access for 2-3 days at a time. So, don't get all in a panic if you send email on Monday and it's Friday until I reply. The vast majority of shipments will be made on Fridays/Saturdays via the post office for the next several months as I ease into the new work schedule. For interest, new job is support of PowerPC military CPU cards running Linux and VxWorks RTOS. Zero analog content. Paul S.
