a fond adieu

a fond adieu

2006-11-30 by David Moylan

As twilight descends on the MOTM kit-form modules I just wanted to say
thanks for all the fun. I understand why kits are going away but I'll
miss them. Thank god for Bridechamber, Oakley, CGS, and Stooge Panels.
I trust the end of kits will let Paul and Associates bring us great new
designs with increased efficiency.

So long kits...

Hear hear. I will miss them too, and eventhough I look forward to the new modules in the
future, I still regret not discovering MOTM any earlier, as my synth is far from finished, and
would have enjoyed building the whole thing, not just part of it, and I don't really feel like
mixing brands just yet, I want a consistent quality, and 100% compatibility, both cosmetic, as
electronic, I guess I'll have to wait a little longer before I reach my goal, as ready modules are
a bit pricier than the kits were.

Don't forget: Paul has said DIY offerings will still be made - if I
remember correctly he means PCB and Panel combinations. Bridechamber
puts together parts kits for MFOS designs; maybe he or someone else will
end up offering parts kits. In which case we'll still be able to build
some MOTM kits with only slightly more ordering hassle.
