This has been happening to me for weeks. I read messages on the Yahoo website, which recently underwent changes to thread messages, etc. In fact, I just want to read all messages in order but sometimes that's impossible. I just found myself reading an old thread on a MOTM-102 super S&H and thought we had discussed it before. I didn't catch on until I read a post from Paul H. @#$%^&* Yahoo! Moe

Yeah, it stinks. They "organized" us into threads and messages and I also think things don't get posted and sometimes double posted (see Elhardt's recent re-post of the 450 issue, for e.g.). What I do is use Firefox with the Wizz RSS plug-in. It gives you a sequential list of messages that I can go through in order. Works like a champ. It does indeed stink. It stinks somewhat less if you go into your settings page for your subscription and change the format from the new one back to the old one. (I forget exactly what they call it, but it's obvious once you get there.) Then it doesn't stink any more than it did before they invented the threading and formatting stuff. --Adam

Ever since they made the change, I find myself reading through posts from months and even years ago, when I think I'm reading recent stuff.

If you are reading through the Yahoo website there is a toggle for "List as Individual Messages" - which seems to default to "Group by Topic." Also, on the Messages page you can switch between ascending and descending message order - seems to default to the opposite of what it used to. As for e-mail, change your preferences to: "Traditional" instead of the default "Fully Featured / New & Improved!". Barry S. --- In motm@yahoogroups.com, "mate_stubb" <mate_stubb@...> wrote:

Okay, forget some of what I said - but not all. They seem to be changing the defaults around. If you are reading/posting through the website and haven't dumped your browser cookies, you may be stuck in the "topic" mode. Also, you may want to ignore the treaded links at the bottom of an individual message - it seems to muck things up if you use those links. The only plus side I can see is that the search function seems to be a lot better. Moe: got your PM and just verified what you said - different behaviour on different machine/browsers - I give up! Is there any way we could dump all the group messages (some kind of script or bot?) and move this list to a private server? Barry S. --- In motm@yahoogroups.com, "coyoteous" <antithesist@...> wrote:

Har. That was supposed to go to the list. Yet another bass ackwards behavior of the website - reply should mean REPLY TO LIST as the default.
