No, it's the real deal, and it apparently works very well. You should definitely check out
David Beegles work in his band Fourth Estate - there's some really amazing stuff that
utilizes some of the extreme features of this device. I'd personally be leary of adding so
much massive hardware to a guitar, but it seems to work.

Uh...yeah.

I promise I will never cut up one of my guitars to add something like
this. My word! I don't play with 2mm picks because I'm concerned
with my tuning!
