Streaming QuickTime?

Streaming QuickTime?

2006-03-25 by Paul Schreiber

OK, I now have the MOTM-650 board stuffing video in a QuickTime mov file.

Bad news: it's 2.6GB! (runs about 13min long).

My web host can only stream Real files, which I personally *cannot stand* the
RealPlayer and refuse
to install it (I put it on the same level as AOL).

So, can any one out there host the file so folks can stream it? I doubt
anyone wants to download the file!

Man, I spent *5 hours* on this today......grumble......

MOTM-120 "Quiet?"

2006-03-26 by Geoff

So, I don't have my MOTM assembly/theory manuals with me, but I've just
rememered a question I had about the 120. The 120 is the first kit that
I built, and I've noticed that the output is a lot quieter than that of
my oscillators. Is it possible that I screwed up during assembly, or is
the 120 actually just quieter? Even 'straight through' (Norm/Volume at
10), the output is substantially quieter than the input, maybe a 6dB
drop. I'd have to check.

If you're just using one output, then yes, the output is quieter. You
can't get a 10Vpp waveform using just one output. What happens when
you crank all the knobs fully clockwise? It should be as loud as an
oscillator.
