...I have another unoriginal module idea. I don't know if it is possible, but here goes. GATE IN, then 4 OUTS. The 1st is the GATE OUT, the 2nd is GATE OUT but every other gate, the third every 4th gate and the last every 8th gate. Maybe a knob could choose the relationship (3rd notes instead of fourth notes). I think a counter would work and it could keep it analog (?) Mike

So, what would the difference be between the 730 pulse divider and this? Duration of proper 'gate' as opposed to simply sending a pulse, eh? I wonder if there would be a way to use the 730 and something else to 'latch,' maybe a 700? -Geoff Mike Marsh wrote:

Reading this again, I see that all you need is a divider and AND gates. Divide by 2, 4, 8, etc., then logically AND each output with the input gate for every 2nd, 4th or 8th gate. Look at the modified MOTM-120R from Tellun Labs, or the Pulse Divider and Logic PCBs from CGS. The CGS VC Divider provides the divided gate output directly, but only one stage of division for each VC Divider. That would work but requires a number of modules. Plus, I don't have a whole lot of logic stuff in my rig. I can do this with my P-SIM pretty easily, but it is so handy that a 1U module seemed like a good suggestion...
