I can't get over this site. I'd like to build this stuff, but although
I have a good stock of digital counting temples, I am fresh out of
wigglers, darn it.

i built one of peter's duber filters last week... not as dramatic as the
fourses i built earlier, but they're good in combination, the filter mellows
out some of the sharp edges of the fourses. my duber case is a bit more
staid--heavy bakelite bottom from the surplus store, 1/2" poplar top,
store-bought knobs. routing out the top to mount the pots was fun. i kind
of like the organic/synthetic contrast.

i'm sure these are not everyone's cup of tea, but these units have been
great for my purposes. I've gotten to use 'em both in recording and
live--they were a great fit for accompaniment we just played for "the
Cabinet of Dr. Caligari". i've also gotten a lot out of peter's
idiosyncratic design and documentation approach--making me question or look
at things (both technical and musical) i "know" in new ways, always a good
thing.
