Hi all,

Power distribution question:

I need to get another Distribution board to connect to my MOTM-900. I just want the 4-pin 
in the meantime and that means I need to get the 960, right? (The 900 is no longer 
available?)
Now I connect this using a power connector from any of the Slots on the 900 pcb to the 960 
pcb.

BUT, I understand the 900 can only supply power to about 20-25 modules. In that case how 
can I use the rest of the power connectors left on the 960? I mean, even if I get another 900 
power supply I still shouldn't connect any more modules to the 960, right?

Maybe someone can explain this to me?

As long as you don't draw more current than the 900 can supply, 
you'll be OK with connecting the 960 to your 900. With the 960 and 
900 you'll have >30 power connections. You won't be able to use all 
them all, unless you are powering a lot of very low current modules. 
And don't try to hook two 900s into the same 960. What I did was buy 
two 900s and one 960. I use the two 12 connector boards with one 900, 
and the 960 with the other 900. That gives me 24 power connections 
off one 900 and 21 power connections off the other 900. Look here for

Each 900 is mounted in it's own cabinet that houses 36U of modules.
