320 LFO mods

320 LFO mods

2005-10-21 by Greg Amann

Hello oot there all you MOTM types:

I use my 320 LFOs as oscillators. Just throw a CV at 'em and they'll
play virtually any frequency I want.

Coupla' questions:

1.- can I hurt the "bipolar" LED by running it at a high frequency
for a long time?

2.- the 320 front panel is shockingly bare and virtually begs for
some sexy mods. Has anyone tweaked their 320 to get the frequency up?

Thanks, BFG

No.

Yes. You can add inverted outputs, a pot for attenuating shape CV,
and a switch to knock the whole thing up into the audio range:

It's Larry's idea, I just did a PCB for it. This DB-320 PCB is
obsolete but you can recreate it with a MUUB-4 PCB:
