Here is the prototype MOTM-650 MIDI-CV ready for it's debut in Oakland on
Sunday. The prototype sheet meat has a few glitches (some me, some the
fabricator) but all in all it looks great. The ribbon cable vendor skewed one of
the connectors, so you will notice a 'tilt' in the MIDI board. But, hey, it *all
works*. Let's see if I can get it past the X-Ray machine at the airport without
a full cavity body search. I'm going to mail it back home for the return trip.

After a 2 1/2 year wait, it almost ready to ship........

Never use sheet meat. Unless you can get the biltong variety, it's
just going to flex and flex...

(Seriously, glad to see the Midi thru. Was worried about that.)

Well the module looks good, but I will kind of miss the old black panel with
white graphics. I guess the hand drawn ink labeling gives it a more diy
look, eh!?

That is how Larry & I referred to 'sheet metal' :)

Where??!? The 2 jacks on the front are IN and OUT. There will be a set of
pcb pads to solder a MIDI jack to make a THRU on the back.

This is the only DIY soldering needed :)

I'm going for the Zvex pedal look next:

Wow, that's a LOT of stuff in there! Congrats!

Will you have the video of the body search on the site? ;)

Will there be an option to have a MIDI IN socket placed on
the back of the module, Paul?

I guess we are all still guessing on the color of the buttons, hot pink maybe. Seriously this
looks great I'm sure many of us can't wait. Is a soldering "gun" also a bad idea at an
airport?

Wow! Cool! I love the DIY look of the panel. Can we still get it in
black, though?

... :)

cool!

I wonder if the MIDI in jack would look better centered between
connector column 1 and 2 (and the buttons above) much as the MIDI out
jack is centered between connector column 3 and 4? Seems "off grid"
where its at now (not quite aligned to the first column of 1/4" jacks.)

Once the panel is black it will probably be less noticeable but theres
my design input :)

It has to be this way in order to fit.

There is a LOT going on behind the panels, trust me.
