TL074 question

TL074 question

2005-08-31 by Greg Amann

I'm building a MOTM 390 and I "Pulled a Larry" ;-) and put a TL074ACN
in backwards. I caught it during a checkover long before power-up. I
removed the offending part using the "clip 'n suck" method. This
destroys the part. I have a TL074CN on hand. Can I just use this as
a replacement?

PS

In case anyone is interested in having stuff named after you, I have
dibs on the following:

Pulling a Greg: building a module, having it work perfectly and
calling tech support to find out why it isn't working properly.

Sure, the 'A' means lower DC offset which in the LFO doesn't matter.

You can also use TL084 in LFOs.

just buys 2500 TL074ACN at once for the heck of it

Now, since I have only installed chips backwards once, I'm not sure if this
qualifies as a "Larry" If so, then I also have to lay claim to tightening
a bracket so much that I pulled the PEM stud out of the back of my MOTM-700
(back when that was a brand new module). Officially, that is known as a
"Larry the mad torquer"
