19" rackmount side bits.

19" rackmount side bits.

2005-05-29 by Greg Amann

I am looking for a source of the actual vertical racks that gear
screws into. I need these to build into custom 19" rackmount
enclosures. They are typically an angle-iron affair with the holes
pre-drilled that I can cut to my spec and mount in cases that I build.
But, for the life of me, I cannot seem to find this specific item on
the internet. Larry, what are you going to use in your 19" over-wing
cabinets?

I've bought a few things from these guys and they are prompt and
reliable.
Last week I got a pair of 10U high rails for $29 and they're pretty
nice.

Most all the music mail order catalogs sell these at great prices. However,
they do not normally put such non-sexy items in the catalogs. In fact I
have some that are not 12U that I need that I am going to need to sell, Got
to go check out the length. What size (number of rack units height) are you
looking for?

Middle Atlantic and Raxxess have great products.

Scott mentioned getting some 10U rails for $29.
Musicians Friend has the Middle Atlantic 10U rails for $13.99/pair and
it qualifies for free shipping.

I have been using the MA and Raxxess 27U rails here. Very solid.

Raxxess:

Both companies have a lot of neat accessories too -- shelves to mount
small processors, drawers, cable management stuff...
