Module delineation strips?

Module delineation strips?

2005-05-07 by ben vehorn

Hi all,
I'm about to go to Staples and look for some easily-reversible
strips/stickers/whathaveyou to use in visually separating my MOTM
modules.
I seem to remember some talk of this years ago... just wondering if
anyone wants to share their findings before I jump in. It doesn't seem
to difficult to find something, but maybe others have had more success
with one approach over another...
Thanks.
---Ben

I found somewhat accidentally that a single light source to the side of your
MOTM modules and pointed across them highlights the edges of the modules.

I haven't tried this, but someone else on the list sent this info a
few years ago:

"It's Carl Goldberg Models Inc. 3/32" White Color Stripe Tape. Found it in a
hobby shop, normally used on RC airplanes. It has a slight rubberlike stretch,
sticks very well, doesn't harden and peel off by itself, doesn't leave a
permanent residue on module should you remove it. All the problems people
report about that drafting tape."

Awesome... that's exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks!

On a side tip, the local craft store was having a sale on unpainted
wood furniture yesterday and I found a couple of pine shelves that are
*almost* perfect for MOTM size. I mean, they're no dovetailed hardwood
deals, but I got enough to hold 26U of MOTM for $26.
