Apocalyse Now

Apocalyse Now

1999-11-04 by Tkacs, Ken

I would have to do some serious digging, but Keyboard Magazine
("Contemporary Keyboard" at that time) ran a big article on the soundtrack
at the time. The acoustic stuff was parts of the Grateful Dead crew which
was released as "Rhythm Devils." There was a team of people on the
electronic side, I believe led by Bernie Kraus (I haven't seen the article
in 20+ years so I'm stretching the gray here). I remember pictures of a wall
of Moog modules. Boob Moog in fact wrote the article.

anyone any idea what coppola used on the soundtrack for
"Apocalypse Now" as
i think i've just managed it (well the soaring stringy bit
shortly before
the cavalry attack on the delta village anyway) on my
battered Elka Rhapsody
		and a #410 - a bit of a first for me.
