Come on guys, lets look at reality.

Well, JM, the PSIM posts *are*, in fact, monitored.
Larry is "Larry", that's why his post wasn't "lost".
What do YOU *really* want to hear from Brice anyway?
Maybe..."your unit was shipped yesterday"?
Bad enough, Waiting (almost)a *year* after paying *In full*, *up
front* Absolutely *no* usefull communication from Brice.
So much for PayPal. No help there.
If it had been through my Visa, i'd have my money back in 30days.
U *must* admit that Brice has been *full* of empty promises.
As i understand it, there are at least 50 outstanding PSIM orders.
50 x $300 = U add it up, it's your money.
Consider,... if he built/shipped 1 a week, it would take over a year,
**from now**......to get all the "pre-orders" out.
Wasn't Brice taking orders up til July 2004??
larry, U ordered in May?
Many have been waiting, ...and waiting...for almost one year!
Since i joined the PSIM list, *my* questions about shipping do *not*
get thru. I get personal email crying about this and that and no time,
etc etc,.........then, they too stopped.

then PS wrote:

There are *no* refunds from Brice.
He said he spent the money on parts.
Parts? Panels?,
or maybe on food, gas, electricity, clothing, and diapers.
U'll just have to "wait" until he gets good and ready
to decide to find the time to build/ship these "unique modules".
If U can't play with one, how "unique" is that??
I've offered to assemble submodules for him...
He mentioned he had to "match LEDs"?? What a crock!
IMO, he's totally lost creadability.
FWIW, if someone wanted to buy my "promise order",
i'd sell it in an instant.
I could Put the $$ into my ShepardGenerator project.
Hell, the PSIM is not a complex project.
It probably could be cloned so easilly......
Maybe *that*" why no kits?
MayB *thats* why no delivery? :-p

>The PSIM is a unique, awesome module. Be sure that you don't cut off
>your nose to spite your face. (After all, you've waited this long...)

Unique?? Awesome??
MayB...if U already have access/are using one.
A PSIM, not a nose.
But, i'd like to judge that 4 myself. Can i, Brice?
Also, Many PSIM wantabes have ordered *without* front panels.
Opting to use a MOTM/Stooge panel instead....larry? for sure.
So, shouldn't that make construction "simpler"??
"the dog ate my engraver" excuse won't work here.
Who knows.....(?) what the "real" problem is.

I hate this speculation/promise of new module crap.
*IF* a PSIM workalike were to exist in another year, so what?
It would probably cost 2x more. Fully assembled, with
custom parts and surfacemount assembly.
*At least* Paul finally figured out how to *ship* kits.
Given what the PSIM does, a BS2 version wouldn't B that difficult.
To the non-computer litterate, or the non-electronic, or the
non-musician, the PSIM might seem like the Holy Grail.
To me, its HardVaporWare,
which is always "more expensive" than just plain VaporWare.
There are 173 members of the SynthModules list.
Show of hands....how many here are "still waiting"???
....how many *actually* have a module??
Or, better, yet, post your Qs to the PSIMlist...
.....see if it gets thru.. :-)

Thanks to Paul for tolerating this bit of off topic rant....

This mail is not in defense of or argumentative to anyone. However, I will
fill in a few facts since they were asked, and a few things I do know to be
true.

I want to hear the truth. So, ho many parts does the PSIM have? 50. If I
installed one part on each of the remaining PCBs each evening after work,
when would they be done? What I really mean is to hear Brice stepping up to
the plate and telling us exactly what the progress is and what that means in
terms of delivery.

> As i understand it, there are at least 50 outstanding PSIM orders.

I think your understanding is incorrect. Brice told me directly that the
total number of PSIMs being produced, production and pre-production, was 53.
I know there are many people that do have theirs. So, I am speculating that
about 50% are yet to be delivered.

> larry, U ordered in May?

I was one of the last to order, I think it was April. I ordered right after
AHMW2004 when I found out only a few were left. Whatever date that was.
I'd have to check my calendar.

> There are *no* refunds from Brice. He said he spent the money on parts.

I remember he said that. Those wanting a refund are forced to sell their
"promised" module. I think there are one of two people who have posted to
the list they would be willing to buy that promised delivery.

use a MOTM/Stooge panel instead....larry? for sure.

That is true - between 15 and 20.

> So, shouldn't that make construction "simpler"??

Brice says not since he has to test each one.

Larry.... waving hand high in air....
