Woo-hoo! My 480 kit is here! My 480 kit is here! W00-hoo!

Hi-- I've heard a favorable report from another who has received a 480 kit, so I'm guessing that completing the kit and trying it out should result in happy faces and at least another "Woo-Hoo!" :-) I remain optimistic about receiving my 485 kits sometime in the semi-near future...Looking forward to that GX-1/SY-2 (er, SY-1 as well, I guess) sound... Frank

Maybe even a synthesized woo-hoo! Since it came prestuffed (oh, the luxury!), I anticipate a quick build... --- In motm@yahoogroups.com, "Frank Vanaman" <fvanaman@s...> wrote: > Hi-- > > I've heard a favorable report from another who has received a 480 kit, so > I'm guessing that completing the kit and trying it out should result in > happy faces and at least another "Woo-Hoo!" :-) > > I remain optimistic about receiving my 485 kits sometime in the semi-near

The MOTM-480 is a fairly quick build, possible to do in one evening. Congratulations to Paul and Scott. This one is another winner. It sounds very different from the other MOTM filters. The high pass function is useful for more than just rolling off the lows. Set the HP frequency near the fundamental of your VCO and put the HP resonance near max to for some nice round bass tones. Alright, you guys are beginning to make me feel really bad that I didn't get in on the quick kits. I have a couple of both the 480s and 485s on order and given all these great comments I can't wait!! George

I am eagerly awaiting my kit. I guess I'll just have to spend more time on "Mercenaries" (X-BOX) until the 480 arrives. Tough game, BTW. Scott E. ================================================== John Loffink wrote:
