FS: RME ADI-8 AE converters

I know this is not strictly on-topic, but I thought y'all might
appreciate the heads-up. Watch your replies, this is cross-posted.

limited edition version of the ADI-8 DS with slightly lesser converter
IC's. 24 bit 96K A-D/D-A converters. TDIF, ADAT Lightpipe I/O. Bit
splitting or double-speed.

Excellent-to-mint condition with box and manuals. I'm only getting rid
of it because I just don't use it much anymore, and other tools beckon.

There aren't too many around (1500, to be exact), and I'm not really
sure of their current value. Let's start at $1000 + shipping + Paypal
(cashier's check or MO is OK too) and if that's way off the mark
somebody kindly let me know.

Regen CV is in the wrong place. It needs to go on the right at the bottom.

Also, the pots appear to be spaced too far apart.

You should strongly consider having Moe design and Stooge Industries manufacture.

Remember that MOTMers are a different market than than Frac Rackers.

The Regen was moved at the suggestion of "a Stooge" because the legend
was too close to the Mod Mix Legend. Looked like crap.

Actually the new position makes more sense as the Regen pot, switch and
CV input are now in a vertical row.

The pots are correctly spaced.

Re: [motm] StonZ MOTM front panel

2004-11-20 by J. Larry Hendry

I figured it was too late in the PCB process to move the control. So,
getting the jacks out from underneath it made sense. Maybe everyone does
not agree. It sure frees up more room to add the text "LFO" and "EXT."
However, there is now room for the "0" which is missing. Maybe "LFO" and
"EXT" can now go below or the "0" and "10." What do you think?

I would have picked a slightly differnet jack arrangement with the bottom
row being the IN, EXT MOD, and OUTs with the CVs grouped together in the
other 3 spots. My only rational for that is the convention that is normally
found on MOTM panels.

I had some issues with the PDF file, but I was able to open it and extract a
JPEG, and size it up for easy viewing.

Here is John's panel converted to JPG:
http://www.wiseguysynth.com/larry/blacet/MOTMfp.jpg

Here is another slightly different version with the last little tweaks I
mentioned.
http://www.wiseguysynth.com/larry/blacet/MOTMfp_reva.jpg

The files are not linked from anywhere other than this e-mail. John, I'll
remove them when people have had a chance to see them, or sooner if you ask.

Best,
Larry H

"0" added back and "LFO", "EXT" moved. The jack arrangement is a
compromise to avoid renumbering the jacks on all the other Blacet
documentation and PCB and thus having to provide duplicates in the
manual. I'm trying to keep the process doable for future products.

I've replaced the PDF with a jpg. This is a different file conversion program, so hopefully this will work for everyone.

For you Mac OSX users, the program that has been the problem is "Preview". It does not like to convert pict into jpg. And apparently it does something funny with the pict to PDF conversion although some folks are gettting a black picture.
