Yikes, anybody have a TrueType version of "Alternate Gothic 2"? -----Original Message----- From: Thomas Hudson [mailto:thudson@...] the font is called "Alternate Gothic 2". This is the same as the Moog modular.

I saved this email: ----------- From: "Paul Schreiber" <synth1@...> As a general answer: the font is called "Alternate Gothic 2". This is the same as the Moog modular. Originally, a company called ChartPAK make rub-on lettering with this font. I used to buy these, by the sheet, at local college bookstore. About 1 year ago, I was at an "old fashioned" drafting supply store (pre-AutoCAD) and lo and behold, there was a small rack of ChartPAK letter sheets. Paul S. ---------- "Tkacs, Ken" wrote:

I don't see it in the "downloads" section. Yeah... I see that now... I was mislead by the link on that page, but pulling it down shows that it's not a real TTF file. Sorry. Back to looking... This site: http://www.math.utah.edu/~beebe/fonts/fonts-to-vendors-a.html Indicates that there are MANY flavors of Alternate Gothic #2, and the rights to the font come from different folks: Font Owned By --------------------------------------------------------------------- Alternate Gothic EF No. One Linotype-library Alternate Gothic EF No. Two Linotype-library Alternate Gothic No. 2 Roman Nagtype AlternateGothicNo2BT-Regular Bitstream AlternateGothicNo2BT-Regular (0542a___) Bitstream-fonts-by-name AlternateGothicNo2D URW AlternateGothicNo2DIn1 URW AlternateGothicNo2DOu1 URW AlternateGothicNo2DRe1 URW AlternateGothicNo2DRo1 URW AlternateGothicNo2DSh1 URW AlternateGotNo2D Deneba These guys: http://www.eyewire.com/uk/type/ef/ Will sell it to you for UK 21... And, these guys will let you press-it-on: http://www.leteron.com/letertyp.htm You can surf a bunch of links (about 50 from what I found) just by searching on "Alternate Gothic" in AltaVista... Mark
