MOTM-730 VC Pulse Divider IS ALIVE!

MOTM-730 VC Pulse Divider IS ALIVE!

2004-08-26 by Paul Schreiber

After a nominal bit of fussing over the prototype pc boards, the MOTM-730 VC
Pulse Divider is up and running! It can gracefully divide input frequencies up
to 14Khz (after that, it starts 'dropping out'). Stepped Out is fine, I may have
to tweak the resistors values (the protos don't have a trim for the step gain,
but the production one will). There are a couple of SW issues, but nothing
major. Next week, I'll post photos of it in action and after Labor Day weekend
possibly a demo or 2 (Charles Stella managed to beat my ProTools into submission
so I should theoretically be able to record/playback stuff).

I think it will be a pretty cool module. Next year :)

Will this module require the 6 pin power connector?

So what's the theme for the 700 line? We have the MOTM-700 VC switch,
and now MOTM-730 VC Pulse Divider. These seem to be control modules
with both digital and analog aspects. How would you describe this line,
Paul?

(I suddenly realize the awful truth: the COTY -- Cabinet of the Year --
is what it takes to accommodate all the Modules of the Month coming down
the pike!)

Right you are! When you're "finished" -- is anyone ever? -- you'll have
one Massive Olde Tyme Modular.
