I just heard on AH that Konkuro aka John Mitchell died in an auto
accident. Not a joke, unfortunately.

Rest in Peace, John.

Oh, this can't be true!

Our thoughts with his family and loved ones. We will miss his
iconclastic fine self.

;(

Mike - completely bummed

I did a search on Google and found that it was an ATV accident.

Wow, how unfortunate. I got to meet John at the West Coast
Synthesizer geek thing held out here in Hayward at the University
there. If I recall correctly, he attended CalPoly as did my wife
and they were both discussing Weird Al Yankovic. We watched as
Synthbaron tipped over his chair while sitting at John Blacet's
machine.

John had a long history with synths. Most sad indeed. I will miss
his commentary. So so sorry to lose someone who was there in the
early days.

There was a very nice eulogy over on the dot com list as given by his best
friend at the service. Yes, he mentions Cal Poly.
