MOTM

There are a few parts that have increased in price that Paul didn't 
mention.  The other day I needed some RG-174 coaxial cable and 
decided to simply buy a 100' roll.  I nearly had a heart attack when 
the total came to >$40!!  Of course I was buying first-rate cable 
(Belden) but, man that was painful.  Copper prices are going nuts and 
Paul didn't even cite that example.

Everything in electronics is a compromise.  Choosing quality pots 
versus cheap pots is a decision that has many tradeoffs.  The same is 
true with jacks, switches, and a host of other items.  I think Paul 
has made the "right" choices in the compromises necessary to bring 
MOTM to life, while preserving sonic integrity.  I do not agree with 
every choice Paul has made.  But looking at the big picture, MOTM is 
by far the best thing since sliced bread, IMHO.  MOTM, like sex, 
isn't perfect... but it beats the hell out of whatever is in 2nd 
place.
