FS: home-brew wood cabinet 20U by 2 rows
2004-05-16 by Frank Vanaman
Hi all- Since I've now switched over to a nice wonderful Stooge Cabinetworks walnut cabinet, I'm putting my old, not-quite-so cool home-made cabinet up for sale. Basically-- 2 rows each a little bit longer than 20U. Made from Birch veneer plywood and fairly clear pine. Forward and topward facing edges of the plywood have been veneered. No back. Modules were attached with wood screws. Not a tremendous beauty, but certainly a decent start! The face slopes back at an angle of about 8 degrees. The end pieces have dado slots cut for the cross-members, and the whole thing was screwed and glued. There are a couple of slots cut in the upper support rail, for accommodating a prototype filter module, and there's one arch-shaped cut out in the lower rail for accommodating a larger-than-expected potentiometer body. Best if someone picks up from Baltimore, but it's certainly shippable. Pictures and almost the same text as above: <http://frank.gadgetland.net/modules.php?name=Sections&op=viewarticle&artid= 49> (watch the word-wrap), or go to: http://frank.gadgetland.net/ click the 'for sale' block (can't miss it, there's a big dollar sign there!) and choose 'Wood Cabinet for MOTM - 20U by 2 rows' Looking for $75.00 or sensible offer (not including shipping). Think the price is terrible? Feel free to make an offer. No one wants it? That's actually OK with me, as I can use the wood for something else... :-) Frank-in-Baltimore
