OK, instead of writing a white paper this afternoon like I should have, I
twiddled pixels instead. Attached is a faux triple resonant filter pic in
Windows bitmap format. Sorry I didn't have the capability of saving it as a
jpeg for non-Windoze users out there. Ignore the fact that the module still
says "Ultra VCO" at the bottom!
It works basically like the MAM, without the envelope follower or built in
panning. Each filter has its own output however, for your external panning
pleasure. Contains 2 LFOs, LFO2 being fixed at a somewhat faster frequency
than LFO1 like the MAM. The Manual/CV pot tunes all filters simultaneously,
unless an external input is plugged into the CV input, then the pot acts as
a CV attenuator (also ala the MAM). There is an LFO freq CV jack not present
on the MAM design. The LFO mode switch also works like the MAM: Single
applies LFO1 to all filters with positive polarity; Dual applies LFO1 to
filters 1 and 3 with positive polarity, and LFO2 to filter 2; Dual Reverse
applies LFO1 to filter 1 with positive polarity, LFO1 to filter 3 with
negative polarity, and LFO2 to filter 2.
Possible enhancements:
Add a jack for LFO amount CV, whereupon the LFO amount pot becomes, you
guessed it, an attenuator for the external amount CV.
OR, add a jack for LFO1 output, so that you could use it to synchronize
panning to the filter frequency modulation (my preference).
