Stooge panel update & Miniwave expander

Stooge panel update & Miniwave expander

2004-01-27 by J. Larry Hendry

As many of you know, I said the end of January would bring panel order
time. And indeed it will. I am about a week or so behind where I thought
I would be packaging and shipping wood cabinets. The duplicate order of
cables put that kink in my schedule. As soon as I get all the cabinets kits
packaged for shipment, I will start accepting panels orders. The cabinet
customers have waited long enough.

Feel free to start discussing and sending new panel designs to Moe anytime.
One thing to notice in the schedule. I did not order metal ahead of time.
I did no not have a good feel for quantity this time. So, the delivery will
be 3 to 4 weeks longer while we wait for metal. The approximate schedule is
on my website.

For those of you wondering about Miniwave expander panels, you can order
them with confidence. Dave Hylander has or will have very soon the expander
boards in stock. You can use the rotary switch prom selector panel with his
PCB alone. Those wanting voltage control of the PROMs will be happy to hear
that the circuit has been up and running perfectly now for a couple of
weeks. All issues are resolved and Scott Juskiw has sent me the PCB layout
to look over (which I just realized I forgot to do). So, those PCBs are
behind where I had hoped they would be (my fault). But, they are just
around the corner.

My followup to Larry's note on the upcoming panel run...

I've just sold the last DB-120 daughterboard for the MOTM-120R panel.
So if you are planning on ordering a MOTM-120R panel you should
already have a DB-120 daughterboard or have plans for building your
own. I'm not planning on getting anymore of these made. Thanks to
everyone who bought one. Thanks to Richard Brewster for designing it
in the first place.

I still have a good supply of DB-320 daughterboards in stock (for
MOTM-320R panel). This board can also be used as a general purpose
quad inverter board, as somebody discovered.

Daughterboards for Larry's MiniWave CV-PROM selector should be ready
by March. The layout is done, we just have to build a prototype and
test it before ordering the final boards.

Circuit boards for my spring reverb are available again. I've also
got a level meter coming out in March. I'll be getting panels made
for both of these during this panel run.

More info on these items can be found here:

I am the proud owner of a Juskiw DB-120 daughterboard and was happy to
replace my prototype with it. Thank you, Scott. My original perf
board prototype now languishes in the old parts bin. It is a simple
circuit and the schematic will hopefully remain available from Scott. I
can provide the schematic too.
