Trigger converter

Trigger converter

2004-01-20 by rreprobate

Hi all

Can anyone point me to a schematic for a simple S-trig to V-trig converter? I assume
that would be some kind of simple transistor switch fed by a +5v supply?

I already built a few v-trig to s-trig converters to clock my Korg SQ sequencer off the
motm, using the old moog "trigger converter patch cable" method. But I would like to
be able to send some triggers back to the motm, and I'm not sure what would work
best.

Of course, this is just to hold me over till the uSeq army band rolls into town.

Thanks in advance for any tips.

I too want to be able to go from S-trig to V-trig. I haven't tried it yet,
but I figured I could probably run the S-trig into one of the inverting
channels on the MOTM mixer and then add some bias. The end result would be
to turn the negative going S-trig to a positive V-trig.

John Blacet has an "S Trigger to Gate Converter" schematic on his web
site (link below). If this is not exactly what you are looking for, it
could be a starting point.
