My beloved Dell 400Mhz P2 computer 'Old Faithful' appears to be not long for this world. This is
the computer I use 16hr/day, every day for the last 3 years. The floppy drive burned up
(literally) on Thursday and now the video card and hard drive are acting strangely. Sigh.

So, please note that as I transfer/rebuild the system on it's backup system, email may be ragged
over the next couple of days. This does not affect the website (that's running on a Sun server in
Florida). The backup is a Dell 1.6Ghz, P4 with 512M RAM and a 80GB hard drive, barely used
sitting and waiting for it's turn to be top dog. It's time has come!

Grumble........

my advice - once it's all transferred, take it out to the back yard and give
it a viking burial
(set fire to it, and possibly chuck it in a pond afterwards)
