hello again all
is it me or is the Doefper MSY2 (midi to sync convertor) absolutely
useless..?
i just tried sync-ing some stuff to midi-clock and it won't do it
if anyone has any wise opinions on the matter i'd appreciate it as I'm
calling EMIS tomorrow to shout at them
(if i could wrap the dopefer round a brick and chuck it thru their window i
would)
in the meantime, i've changed the rules of the FFWD 'competition' slightly -
anyone profering schematics for a midi to trigger convertor (the easier the
better) that works is more likely to win :-)
cheers
paul

If you're considering building your own, Blacet has a one chip solution to
your problem for $16. I never used it but it seems straightforward. You
could easliy program your own too (PIC16F84) if you're so inclined.

Actually, it will fit on a 12C508, too. I've done it. MIDI realtime
messages are the easiest thing to decode in the spec. as they have no
protocol layered around them save for what bits in the byte describe a
particluar message.

I'll have to see what I did with the code for that, its been a while...
