Cable update and mother of all cable stands

2003-11-06 by J. Larry Hendry

For a few of you I have not yet sent cable invoices. Worry not, I should
get to that Thursday evening.

I don't have time to do any web site updating right now. But, I did want to
share my new cable holder. It holds up to 250 cables - 50 each 1ft, 2ft,
3ft, 4ft, and up to 6 ft. Here is what she looks like naked. No, not that
kind of naked.

Here is a view with a few cables added. The 5 and 6 foot (orange and red)
occupy one side. The purple 2 foot cables reside above 4 foot yellow on the
second side. The 2 foot blue hang above the 3 foot green on the third side.

I have lots more cables ordered to help fill it up. :)

I do plan to update my website eventually with details including the source
for parts and materials and basic plans. In the meantime, enjoy the photos.
I suggested to my wife that this could replace the Christmas tree this year.
She was not impressed.

Later,
Larry

What, no casters? ;] That *is* the mother of all cable stands, oh
Stooged One. The hardwood is a nice touch, and I really like the
staggered-height design!

How are the hardwood triangles mounted to the upright?

Chub-way impressed
