Moog 55 pix

2003-08-21 by Paul Schreiber

The top cabinet of my Moog 55 is near complete-to-factory restoration. Pix are at:

www.synthtech.com/pix/moog55

the files beginning with 'new_ ' are the "after" photos (the others are the "before"). Just a
couple of new 'teaser' shots, showing the rewiring of the harness and the NOS Trigger Delay. The
top cabinet is solid teak (not the usual walnut) and is slightly redder in overall color.

No, I didn't change out 1 single part, not even a resistor. It's 100% *factory spec*.

Endless debate can now ensue why I would even WANT such a "bad" synthesizer. (Answer: I have lots
of "bad" synths, like MemoryMoog (#1 analog baddie), Synergy (#1 digital baddie), and a Synthex
(#1 European baddie))

Cabinet/wiring restoration by Steve Masuchi. in upstate NY. I'm doing the individual modules (the
HORROR!!)

That synth seems to have TWO hipass filters and only ONE lopass
filter. What's up with that????

The sound of silence is deafening<g>. I doubt anyone would have any
sentiments besides envy. I sure wouldn't kick it out of my house!
