Stooge panel drilling

2003-07-25 by J. Larry Hendry

If you have Stooge panels on order and have ordered drilling services,
please read: Otherwise, delete another waste of bandwidth and forgive me.

The standard hole for pots is 3/8". It was brought to my attention by Jeff
Pontius (thanks Jeff) that the Oakley Omeg pots require a slightly larger
hole. The default hole for ALL panel pots is 3/8" We have no way of
knowing what pots you are planning to use in your construction. So, if you
are planning to use the Omag pots from Tony and want the holes the next size
up so they fit without additional hole stretching, you need to let me know
ASAP. Otherwise, you will get 3/8 inch.

Thanks
Larry

FYI: 3/8 (.375") for pots is a *bad idea*. I use 0.390" because the .375" dimension is for the
*inside* of the threads!

Yes, but we don't add paint to the holes after they are drilled. 0.375 has
been working fine so far with everything but the Omeg pots. My caliper
reads 0.372" on the outside of the threads on MOTM supplied Spectrol pots.
That's 9.45 mm for you metric guys. :)

True, since there is no inside paint you are probably OK. The *jacks* are OK at 0.375". Go
figure........
