Stooge panel prices posted - please read

2003-06-14 by J. Larry Hendry

OK Gents, If you visit the panel page at Wise Guy Synth, you will find the
GIF panel page has been updated with the current panel prices based on what
has been ordered so far. I still have a few outstanding unanswered mails to
clarify orders. So, some things may change ever so slightly. Some prices
may drop a little as Dave and I have not yet entered our orders. They are
rounded to the dollar for the estimates. The actual price will be just as
they were originally advertised.

You will also notice that links have been added for the 320 and 120 info
section to show the schematic and proposed add on PCB layouts. Many thanks
to Scott Juskiw for doing this work. I plan to give Scott the names of
those who ordered 120 and 320 panels (unless you object) so he can plan to
have PCBs available for you to go with your new panels.

Feel free to e-mail me to add anything you wish to your order. If you were
the only one to order and panel and therefore see the sky high price, you
may cancel that order if you wish.

I have extended the order deadline another day since some people may read
only from work e-mail. You now have today, all day Sunday, and Monday
until I get home from work to make any changes you wish. Tuesday morning,
this order goes off to the printer.

Early next week, you can expect an e-mail invoice from me. I am doing
something I have not done before. I am ordering the printing done before I
have payment. So, please try to be prompt. Drop me a note if there will be
a delay so I don't bug you about it. No one likes a payment reminder
notice. <snicker>

For those of you that like facts and figures, the number of panels ordered
is currently 320 and will probably be close to 340 or 350 before I am
finished with it. I am pleased to announce that my guess on the amount of
metal needed was sufficient and there will be no problems filling everyone's
order.

The most popular panel was the 320 with inverted outputs. 30 were ordered.
Second place went to the ever popular JLH-822 voltage switcher.

Thanks to everyone for making this another successful Stooge panel order. I
expect delivery in late July. Those ordering drilling service may be early
August as that percentage has gone up significantly.

I wouldn't do that, but I would have liked to see at least one other
person buy the Pro4 breakout panel!! Afaik, Synthesis Technology
used to sell them.

Fewer people ordered CGS Dual ASR panels than I expected based on the
number of people who emailed me. Still, enough people ordered them
to reduce the price significantly. I will post a parts list, and
Larry assures me that jack-only brackets are in the works.

Thank you :) You're still ten times faster than that other guy who
sells MOTM panels ;) I think I speak for everyone when I say that
Larry and Moe deserve a huge round of applause!!

Definitely!

This round has gone very smoothly.

It's great to see the number of designs jump up. I found most of what
I was looking for and a few things I hadn't thought of. Everything
else will probably be in the next round.

It's a lot of work to build a module without a nice MOTM kit, so it's
satisfying to see it completed behind a nice panel. The panels help
fill gaps in our systems, and make an investment in MOTM equipment
that much more useful.

Thanks for doing this!
