panel orders and such

2003-06-05 by J. Larry Hendry

If you have not heard a response from me on your panel order, or do not see
the new designs posted to my web site yet, fear not. All is well, but the
wheels are turning slowly due to the overwhelming response to our latest
offer to screen panels.

It may be a few more days yet before I get all the orders sorted out and
entered into our handy re-designed spreadsheet. I will try to get the new
designs up in the next day or two. Then, everyone will be given ample
opportunity to sort out changes to their orders. The original deadline is
out the window. The printer cannot start for another week, so we have at
least that much time to sort this all out. Still planning for delivery in
July, but toward the end of the month it seems.

320 R Stooge Panel??

First off, Moe and Larry deserve a huge round of applause!!

Since I just bought a pre-owned MOTM-320 (I usually wouldn't, but
given the backlog, I figure it was worth a $1 not to sort all those
axial parts) I'm now interested in this panel.

Will a PCB be offered for this conversion?? Are these mods online
somewhere? Is it possible to get the panel with the range switch and
Shape CV knob, but not the four negative outputs??

Not that it applies to the 320 R, but how are the jack-only brackets
coming along??

Please note that my email address has changed.
media.nai@... is now mark (at) primatesynthesis (dot) com.
After having that address for almost seven years, I get hit with
about 200 spam a day.

THANX!! :)

It is planned. Scott is working on it. I think he plans to wait to see how
many panels sell to determine about how many small add on PCBs to sell.

Not yet. I will be putting them up however.

It is possible to take masking tape and cover the part of the metal you do
not want so that the screen for the (-) outputs is actually printed on the
tape that can them be removed. However, you cannot change any of it (unless
you are interested in the one off for your own design). Actually, it was my
desire to have (-) outputs that started the 320 project. The other things
were add ons from the wish list of others. I think a LFO with complementary
outouts is cool. For example, you can use the outputs pairs (one + and
one -) to drive two separate VCAs (for pan or fade type effects without
having to tie up external reversing attenuators).

Zero progress. I am not going to think about that until I have all the
cabinet kits in process and this panel order on the way to the printer.

Larry is designing the circuit, I'm doing the daughterboard layout.
There will be a couple other daughterboards available from me as
well. Keep watching this space for details.

And I'll have plenty of details about the daughterboard on my site
once I get one built and working.
