Cable holders

2003-04-15 by mate_stubb

A lot of my messages seem to be going off into space if I hit 'Reply'
instead of 'Post' - anyway, the Pomona holder has 10 slots that could
each hold 6 cables. However, if you want to organize slots by size,
your mileage may vary.

Make sure you click on the "To" field when you reply. Otherwise Yahoo
replies to the individual, rather than the group. (I learned this the
hard way....)

That may be why the messages are going off into space...

Those cable holders look excellent, by the way. If you're using them,
let us know if they work well.

hello all,

to be honest i've not found rack based patch cable holders to be that
helpfull - my favourite cable holders:

1) old snare drum stand extended to max height - it's a convenient height,
has three prongs, and can take A LOT of cables

2) mic stand with stereo bar - slightly less capacity but better for the
longer cables

I currently have two of the black Pomona cable hangers on a 6 foot
stand (the stand used to be an industrial strength coat rack-nice
HEAVY base!)and with the Switchcraft #280 plugs, five cables will fit
nicely in each slot for a total of fifty cables per holder.

I plan to modify this setup soon to accomodate a third Pomona cable
hanger-150 cables right at my fingertips! Can world domination be
far off?
