Get Lucky, Man!

Get Lucky, Man!

2003-04-15 by Paul Schreiber

OK, while everyone is waiting for me to ship modules (I just finished the Big Inventory), here is
a small contest:

Submit the (in)famous ELP "Lucky Man" riff. Use as few or as many modules as you want. Prize:
genuine MOTM polo shirt OR $20 off coupon. Deadline is next Monday the 21st.

After you do your taxes, get patchin'! (in the USA, tomorrow is National Income Tax Day).

You can provide a link or email me the file directly. Please provide patch info.

UEG mod update

2003-04-16 by Scott Juskiw

Kudos to Tony K. for finding an error in the schematic for my UEG
mod. The updated schematic is now up:

The mod didn't change, R11 (on the UEG motherboard) was merely shown
on the wrong side of the diode.

That seems like a very worthwhile mod, although I'm a bit hesitant to
cut PCB traces, especially since I don't have schematics. Is there
any way I could get schematics, or just the original circuit around
the gate and pushbutton?? I seriously doubt anyone could steal the
design without the software.

Also, I'm going to send my UG back for the software update when I
order the Frequency Shifter, and I don't know how the mod might
effect that process.

I'm curious about that too. I had planned to get my UEGs updated but
forgot to before they went under the knife.

Message for Tony K: is the update still available for hacked UEGs?

Yes the update is available; your hack does not affect the firmware
update.
