OT: Server hell

My ISP's server crashed, and I fear much mail over the last two days is
lost. This is a test. Sorry.

So that's why you missed the "win a 20 module MOTM system if you can name the
type of keyboard used on the Booker T. classic Green Onions" contest.

Actually there was a fair amount of posts to both this list and diy up until
Tuesday, then both lists went very quiet. Hmmm, just about the same time
those MOTM 410 kits would've been arriving -- coincidence? I think not.

Well, I've had my 410 going for almost a day now after some minor stupidity
getting it working. I'm really impressed by the sound. I've so far used it
mostly to do phaseresque stuff, and it is great for that! I've enjoyed using
guitar through it, though I think the 420 LPF is better for envelope follower
effects, the 410 is great with the LFOs sweeping across the harmonic
spectrum. I've currently got a nice drone patch using two harmonically tuned
VCOs (one doing linear FM on the other) with both outs going to the 120
SUB-OCTAVE MULTIPLEXER (CROSS PRODUCT mode) which is going to 420 with a slow
RATE sweeping widely across the spectrum. Very rich harmonic timbres!

DAMN! I need more VCOs!

PS, Hey Paul, did you ever get that gurtar, to make it easy to move your feet?
I'm gonna add some MOTM so that the dancers just won't hide.

Yes, Damn. With so many good clones on the market, I wonder how many of
the "younger" set might argue whether it was the XB-2 or VK-7. HAHA

Some similar stupidity here. Waiting for a couple of replacement parts.
However, I did get to hear Paul rub in how good his sounds over the phone.

Don't we all ??

farfisa duo-professional - ?

RE: OT: Server hell

Close enough. It was a single kbd Farfisa Professional, just like the one I
played for several years. They didn't sound that bad, especially if you
played them through a Leslie. Of course I ditched mine at the earliest
opportunity to acquire a Hammond.

You are declared the winner. Just don't ask what the prize is!

oh my god, i was "almost" right!!!!!! gee, i never owned one but when i was
in high school in 1972, i worked for a band who`s kybd player had one and a
leslie 147. both of the darn things were heavy!!!!! you`re right, though, as
i recall it didn`t sound bad and was a whole lot easier to move around than a
hammond.
best,
dave
