Need specs for washers!

Need specs for washers!

1999-10-12 by Mark T

I may have found a source for the colored washers.

Can anyone provide me with exact dimensions, and what type of material should be used?

This outfit may have them in stock.

Regards,

Mark

The ones I found that fit the Switchcraft jack very well are as follows:
ID = 3/8" , OD = 5/8" (OD not critical and can vary with taste)

Thickness can vary, these I have are about .05" to 0.65" range best I can
tell with crude measuring devices and 43 year old eyes. Any thicker would
be problem, but thinner would be OK.

The ones I have are made of nylon, because I know I can color them.
However, I would be happy with metal or whatever, if the colors were easy
to see and looked nice.

Good luck and let us know what colors are available if they have the right
size.

I would think that a larger OD would be in order since this is the sole means
of identifying which jacks are connected. I was thinking 0.75" or even a bit
more.

I will mention that I did find some others before that were 0.875" OD. I
bought 4 or 5 to try. They looked totally goofy in my opinion. However,
I would be happy to donate them to the "John Barlow scrap synth material
and reclamation project" if you want to see what they look like. Send me
your snail mail address privately and they are yours.

Goofy, yuck! Are you sure it's goofy? Not zany? Not wacky? I guess nutty
would be a little too ... er, uh goofy, so even if they're nutty that would
be pretty goofy.
