Slightly OT, MIDI help.

Slightly OT, MIDI help.

2003-02-12 by gooboworks <andy@goobo.com>

I am not so good with MIDI. Can anyone recommend a book, website,
or whatever that would have information about MIDI. I need to learn
more about MIDI as a user, not as a designer or anything majorly
geeky.

I would like to know more about sysex files, midi files, the
differences between them, etc.

Thanks
Andy

Here is a website with links to lots of good info:
http://www.harmony-central.com/MIDI/

In particular, note the documentation section, which includes links to
"Introductory Material":

There's a new Robert Guerin book called Midi Power that's good. Added
bonus is a pic of the Synth of Doom!
