METAL finally

METAL finally

2002-10-25 by J. Larry Hendry

Well, I stopped in the old metal shop today, slung away my pond scum, and
found:

283 finished flat rails. Screws to put in the holes to keep them clean will
be here Monday. So, they go to powdercoat before the end of next week.
Powdercoat should have them 2 or 3 weeks. So, if you have sent me a note
in the last few months inquiring about flat rails, you will be getting an
invoice soon for delivery just before Thanksgiving. Most of these flat
rails are already spoken for. But, when current orders are filled (need to
count carefully) I may have some leftover for stock. And, yes I will order
more.

SKB backs and lids. They go to powdercoat Monday or Tuesday. So, if you
ordered one of these, and have paid for it, expect delivery also just before
Thanksgiving. There may be one or two of you (one I know for certain one in
Japan) that I have not invoiced for SKB case backs. Fear not, I need to get
a handle on what the overseas shipping will be by actually asking at the PO
when I ship a domestic one. I will get back to you with an invoice amount
after that.

I did order up extra SKB backs. So, the 10U tall ones and lids will be a
normal stock item at least for a while. Unless they sell better than what
these have, this may be a one time deal for me. Time will tell.

I will get a photo one of the SKB backs installed in a case up on my website
this weekend. Of course, it won't be painted. But, you can just imagine
how nice it will look with paint.
