Blue switches/Jacks

Blue switches/Jacks

2002-10-18 by Paul Schreiber

The switches are NKK part numer JF15SP3G. see www.nkkswitches.com

They are cute sexy and cost WAY TOO MUCH. But they really are nicer than the ITT "standard"
switch like on the OB-8, etc. and only about 40 cents more (I think the switch should COST 40
cents....grumble).

I'm going to use the same jacks as on the Expressionist. This way, there is a pcb per 'row' and
small 10-pin ribbon cables attach to each from the "main board". The "main board" itself has the
LCD pc board and the switch/LED board on "risers". This attaches via blind PEM threaded spacers
(like on the MOTM-900, that holds the connector pcb). There are 7 seperate pc boards in this
bugger. But it all plugs together sort of like Lego.

The link for the switch specs is
http://us.switchzone.com/pdf/JFnonilluminated.pdf for any who do not want to
search thru. It looks like you can actually print onto these. Is that the
plan? (hope not, it just rubs off)
