390 & 490

390 & 490

Just built these two, now I am admiring my work! Seriously, both
are welcome additions to my rack, particularly the 490.

Still waiting for my 490; guess the backlog is a neverending story...;>

It's very nice, worth the wait. I know that's easy to say now that
I have one, but I was in possetion of one two months ago and had to
give it back! Just now I have in a patch through the TM. Yummy!

We understand; it was the time machine shooting you back to the days when you hadn't learned to spell yet. ;)

Oddly, I've already recieved and built my 390 and 490 (vunderbar-- both of them!), but am still dragging my butt on the Time Machine. Gotta order parts. And my microVCO is acting funny. :(

Putting the TM in MOTM format was one of the coolest things to do
for my rack (I also kept one in Blacet format). It's not just
delay; there's also comb filtering and other modulation
possibilities. It *really* expands the palette and offends no
analog sensibility...

Que pasa with the uVCO? Mine is working great (and sounding lovely)
and I have another on order. Tuning problems (some went out with
the wrong cap value)?

I just wasn't able to get a peep out of the uVCO last night (test: VCO->VCA->mixer->amp; no modulation-- nada; other modules did make sound going into the same VCA). Pretty sure it was working a month ago, when I last used it. If I get a chance tonight, I'm going to remove and visually inspect it. Probably something stupid like a broken solder joint. I'm pretty rough on the MOTM going to, from, and at live shows, and the occasional showers of sparks don't help....

Completing the TM is the next item on my hit list. Will have to figure out a new enclosure, though, since it won't fit in the SKB...
